Lucky in Love by Carolyn Brown
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
A vision of beauty and grace has followed Beau Luckadeau's memories since a drunken one night stand had him waking up to an empty bed. Two years later, Beau has given up hope that he will ever see her again and has decided to move on with his life. When he finds what he believes is a puny ranch hand by a cut fence on his land, he blows a fuse only to find that is a hot tempered brunette with a rifle pointed at him and a bit of shooting in her wake, who looks remarkably like the woman of his dreams.
Milli Torres can't believe she is staring at Beau face to face. In Oklahoma to help her Grandfather recover from surgery, she had never expected to see him again. In such a close community it is not difficult to find themselves thrown together, and once he gets a look at her daughter her past may come back to haunt her.
I thought this started off with a bang, literally. Overall a funny romantic story, but there was a lot of runaround before getting to heart of the matter between them so I give it a 3.75.
