The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Putting her families needs first, Emmaline Marlow agrees to marry the Laird of the Hepburn Clan, continually reminding herself that this is for her family helps ease the sickening feeling she looks at her future husband who is three times her age. Resigned to a tedious life, Emma is shocked when Highlander Jamie Sinclair interrupts the nuptials and kidnaps the bride.
Jamie planned on kidnapping the bride and holding her for ransom, wanting a possession he has never been able to retrieve in return. He figured the lady would be so frightened and meek that it would be easy to keep her captive, what he got though was a tempered lass who has no qualms sharing her feelings or devising new ideas to drive him mad in wanting her.
Thoroughly fun read, Emma has several surprises in store for Jamie. Every time he thinks he is one up on her, she figures a way to outwit him. Love a great book that has spark to it.
