Theme Day: Widows

Often stories about widows male/female are about starting over or not wanting to.   Some had marriages that could give your favorite romance a run for it's money, others are marriages from hell and the person on the receiving end never wants a repeat performance.  Here are a few favorites:

The Trouble with TomboysWhen He Was Wicked (Bridgertons, #6)Catch Me A Cowboy (Deep in the Heart of Texas, #3)

Wild, Wicked, & WantonWild, Wicked, & Wanton by Jaci Burton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Three stories that intertwine with one common theme, a bet made between Abby, Blair, and Callie each who will have one wild weekend of no strings attached sex with the partner of the other two friends choosing.

Abby
When Abby finds out that the two veterinarians she has been interning under are both interested in her, Abby finds herself in an unusual predicament. Abby has been divorced for two years, having found herself again she is not sure she can take on the two men, but with her friends encouragement she plans to find out if she can.

Blair
When Blair came up with the idea for the bet, she figured hers would be the easiest to do, she was a strong woman who could easily conquer any man and spit them out for breakfast the next day. When her friends announce that it is Rand McKay who she is to spend the weekend with, Blair panics and for the first time considers losing the bet. There is no way she could possibly go for the one man who she has steered clear from for fifteen years, even if she secretly lusts after him every chance she gets.

Callie
After losing her husband five years ago, widower Callie has kept her fantasies to herself. When her guy is chosen for the bet, Callie is incredibly nervous, although he is not a complete stranger Jack is a customer at her coffee shop and the main lead in her fantasies. When he lets out a non too subtle hint that he is attracted to her, Callie wonders if this is a bet she can win after all.

Wonderful read, my favorite story ended up with Blair which was kind of funny because in the beginning hers was the one I was least looking forward too. Something about Rand McKay though, WOW. All three are really good though and each one has a different desire.
