Love Unscripted by Tina Reber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Taryn Mitchell has no plans to put her heart on the line for another man again, the last man she let in crushed her deeply and she will do anything to prevent that from happening again. When actor Ryan Christensen finds himself looking for a place to hide in Taryn's bar, she sees a man who looks like he needs a friend more than an actor looking for attention. A friendship of sorts develops quickly, but Ryan's hesitancy to move it forward has Taryn caught off guard.
Ryan knows that he has met the woman he could spend the rest of his life with, but with him comes life in the spotlight and he is not sure if Taryn would be willing to go along for that ride. As they grow closer and their friendship turns to love, they find themselves struggling to maintain a normalcy in their relationship especially when outside influences are determined to tear them apart.
This reminded me of going on a leisurely hike, the story takes you on a slow stroll into the lives of Taryn and Ryan. The pacing is perfect and really gives you time to see these characters develop into something special. Ryan is a romantic and gentleman which I thought was interesting because it is something Taryn struggles with a bit in the beginning. Well worth reading, especially if you like Hollywood type stories.
