Escaped: Running in Fear #1

Escaped (Running In Fear, #1)Escaped by Trinity Blacio
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jaycee Manz is recovering from a brutal attack when Dane Glassgo, alpha of his clan shows up to tell her he is her mate. Jaycee knows all about shifters and alphas, but she keeps her knowledge hidden from Dane and the circumstances of her past shielded from his thoughts. Jaycee knows that her ex will be relentless and will hurt those that she has come to care for, she plans to flee the first chance she gets.

Jaycee underestimates Dane and his brothers, thrown into the mix is alpha brother Mark who with one moment is a partner in bed, the next her second mate. What unfolds is a powerful alpha bitch, Jaycee, who is not your ordinary mate, and another surprise is about to shock her to her core as a third mate reveals himself. As if bieng hunted is bad enough, how is she going to handle three mates?

I gave this a 3.75, almost a 4. I had a couple issues in the beginning with the domineering attitude and lack of sensitivity for Jaycee and what she had been through, but midway through that changed. This is a pretty raw, rough, and explicit read but it hsa that extra something that compels you to not put it down. The only thing I will say about the ending is it is abrupt, so if you want to find out what happens next have to get the next one.
