Beauty and the Billionaire by Jessica Clare
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
When Hunter Buchanan overhears the red headed goddess talk about her ideal man, he wants her. When he contrives a reason for the ghost writer to temporarily move into his home, he has her. Now he just has to figure out how to keep her.
Gretchen Petty isn't sure what to make of the reclusive owner of the house. She has yet to meet him and has often been left with his crotchety housekeeper, not one to back down from her own curiosity, Gretchen decides to matters into her own hands.
She could care less if Hunter is scarred, in fact she finds it sexy. Hunter though can't understand why she would want him and when it looks like everything is falling into place, it all implodes and Hunter has to make some extreme choices if he wants to win back Gretchen.
A retelling of Beauty and the Beast, I liked this one. The intriguing part of this story is that Hunter is like a school boy and bundles it, he is a strong determined man but when it comes to wooing Gretchen he is a mess. Very charming read.
