Cursed by a vampire, Brock is changed from his Elvin self into a Vaer. Tainted he is forced out of his land after an unfortunate incident led to a death. Now on a journey to fulfill a prophesy, Brock must find a witch and draw blood. Celeste is a witch who Brock happens upon and there is just something about her that has him captivated. Unsure if she is the witch he will be forced to kill or if by chance be the one to change everything Brock thought he knew.
Enchanting story, not in my normal genre but I found The Garnet Dagger to be fascinating. There is a lot to this story with the prophesies and background to what happened to Brock. I was caught off guard a few times and kept guessing with which way the story was going to go. Excellent story.
