A Taste for a Mate by Carrie Ann Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
From the first second Willow Delton served Jasper Jamenson a cinnamon roll from her bakery, she was in full out lust. Everyday she was open he came in, said little, and walked away with his regular order leaving Willow with an eyeful of her own brand of yumminess.
Jasper knows that the skinny bakery owner is his mate, but how do you announce to a human that werewolves exist and not frighten them away. His inner wolf wants to claim her and quick, when he finally asks her out he does not expect her to be kidnapped by another pack and left for dead. In the most unconventional claiming Jasper has to find a way to win Willow's heart. Willow has no problem with the claiming, but she is worried that she was claimed because Jasper had no choice.
I thought this was a good one, has a few little hiccups that I wondered about particularly in the beginning. Jasper is a beta and I thought probably more in tune with Willow and feeling like he needs to protect her, covet her, an romance her, while Willow is a bit insecure whwere she stands with her mate. Look forward to the next one.
