Knight by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Tough childhood led to a hard earned life, but Anya Gage has taken everything in stride. Putting herself through beauty school, working full time, and taking clients in her time off to do beauty treatments has her stretched thin. Deciding to let loose one night has her tagging along with a friend to a party she didn't want to attend, she finds herself trying to find a phone to call a taxi, what she finds instead is an angry man who offers her a ride home instead.
Knight Sebring thought he had almost reached heaven with the few minutes he spent with Anya, but knowing his life is no good for what she deserves he stays away. That is until he finds her in a situation in a club he owns and he decides he is not going to hold back any longer. Knight introduces Anya to a different style of life, if she is willing to step into his world, he is promising her a life like she never knew it.
I was torn between a 3.75 and a 4 star rating on this one, went with the 3.75. Knight is a Dom, had no issue with that. I liked Anya thought they were an interesting couple and liked the concept of the story. I think it just didn't have quite the pull of her other books and so lacked a bit of that uber sexy alpha male which Knight is but there was just something that did not click for me.

Hey Em,
ReplyDeleteThat sucks that you didn't really like this one.
I LOVED it!! Knight had a totally different feel then her other books but it sucked me right in. I especially LOVED the epilogue!! So far there has been only one book that I didn't absolutely love of hers and it is Wildest Dreams. Have a great day!!! :) If you ever read Wildest Dreams, I would be interested to know what you thought of that one.
