The Buchanan's Baby by Alexx Andria Guest Post, Review, and Giveaway

Nolan Buchanan, one of three billionaire brothers, is the cool head with a charming smile but he's about to have his world tipped upside down. He's used to getting what he wants and making no apologies but Nolan Buchanan will soon discover that what is most precious in life...cannot be bought.

Review

When Nolan Buchanan receives a letter informing him he is a father, he doesn't know if it is a hoax or true.    Nolan has always been careful with the women in his life, although brief encounters, he always is cautious.

Seeing Shannon Garrity is a bolt to his libido and there is no doubt in his mind that the baby is his.  He never forgot the one night they shared, but never had her name t chase after her.  Now Shannon is not so sure she wants him in their life, but Nolan is determined to show Shannon he can be a good father and if she will open her heart, the ideal man.

Sizzling hot story.  Nolan feels out of sorts with the idea of being a father and how to handle Shannon who is clearly cautious of his intentions.  He comes up with a plan to woo her, but as a man who is used to getting his way he has his work cut out for him.  Can't wait to read more more from this author.

Behind Closed Doors

Best-Selling Erotica Author Alexx Andria Gets Personal

Often readers ask, “How much of you is in your stories?” and I always answer with a coy smile because fantasy is a large component of what I create as an erotica author. However, with that said, there is a certain level of truth located within the pages and I’m not talking about the crazy, kinky stuff that sometimes shows up in my stories. I’m talking about the raw characterization that creates the basis of the characters. Each of them is a part of me, somewhere – even if it’s not surface deep. I never write about something that doesn’t ring true for me at some level. Although I’m not eyeing my step-siblings for a little nooky, I find the taboo aspect of that relationship very hot and that’s a part of me.

I love Alpha men and the way they take command in the bedroom — and in truth, I like a man with a strong presence and undeniable skill as well — so writing about them seems quite natural. There is a saying among erotica writers, if it doesn’t turn your crank in some way, don’t expect to be able to write about it and turn someone else’s crank. It doesn’t have to be “write what you know” but you should find whatever you’re putting out there incredibly hot for yourself.
But if you’re a fan of my work you’ll have noticed by now that it’s not all about the sex when I write my stories. In fact, sometimes I find myself starting a short story and then my brain starts naturally expanding the story to greater characterization heights, which deepens the reading experience for the reader, but then it makes it difficult to let go.

My Billionaire Brothers series was an unexpected joy to write not only because the characters were so layered and deep but because the fans simply clamored for more. When I finished the six-part series, I knew there was going to be sequels because the fans couldn’t get enough and when that happens, their joy feeds an author and creates a hunger for more. So, here I am, plotting out Vince’s story and, lo and behold, a new character has emerged (details are still sketchy but I can feel him in my bones as someone to watch) who is a part of the private club the brothers own, Malvagio.

But enough about that (I’m such a tease!). Today, I’m answering your questions! No holds barred, ask me anything you like and I will answer. One lucky poster will be selected at the end of the day to receive a $20 gift card to Amazon so don’t be shy! Ask away! I can’t wait to hear what your crafty minds want to know!

Warmly,

Alexx Andria

  1. Hi Alexx, thanks for your great guest post? I'm wondering which you find easier to write - female or male POV?

Hi Em, I'm a new follower from Book Blogs through GFC and bloglovin! Check out my blog here Bookish Whimsy, and hopefully you would like to follow back. :)

  3. Okay! Apparently, Safari does not want to play nice today, had to switch to Firefox.

To answer your question, either male or female POV is completely organic to me once I start writing because I know the characters so well. It's like watching a move unfold in my head (which is quite entertaining!) Thanks for posting!

  4. Hi Alexx! You said sometimes short stories naturally expand as you develop characters. Do the characters expand to that great extent during your first draft, or do you learn more about the characters as you go along, then go back and add more character development in a second pass?

  5. Hi Marina! Thanks for stopping by. For me, the expansion happens almost subconciously as I start building the minute the words hit the page. It's almost as if the characters take over and I'm just the vehicle. That's the best kind of writing, IMO, because it's so honest, and real. However, I do go through the manuscript at the end after my beta reader has gone through the story to flesh a few things out. However, for the most part, I'm a one draft writer.

  6. So, Bought by The Billionaire Brothers starts as a ménage between Nolan, Vincent and Penny. Was this your first ménage book and did you enjoy writing it? Would you consider more books like this? By the way, I loved the series and looking forward to Vincent's story. Thanks for the giveaway!!

  7. Hi Christine! Yes, the series starts out as a menage between the three and I loved writing their dynamic. It wasn't the first time I wrote a menage dynamic as Banged By Brothers has that set up but the brothers was written with the intent to build a whole world whereas the other, Banged By My Brothers, was written simply as straight erotica. There's also some menage aspects to the first in my werewolf saga, The Awakening. So, yes, I do enjoy multiples! :-) I would assuredly write another menage at some point because it's a lot of fun! But for now, I'm pretty busy with the Billionaire Brothers series. In fact, I think I may have one more after Vince's story...but that's still up in the air! Thanks for posting!
