Gone with the Wolf by Kristin Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Emelia Hudson has a bone to pick with CEO Drake Wilder. His company now claims to own the deed to her bar and despite her relentless effort to meet with him and explain the situation, she has been given the brush off one too many times. Changing tactics she gets hired as a temp in his company, but after two weeks she is still no closer to getting a face to face meeting and she is getting pissed.
When Drake stumbles onto Emelia at an office party, in an area she is not supposed to be in, Drake immediately senses the hostility from her but at the time she is not aware of who he is. Sensing she is his mate, Drake chances another meeting and realizes he has a long road ahead of him as the feisty determined Emelia continues to butt head with him.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The one dynamic I thought was quite entertaining was that Drake wants to take care of Emelia, he is three hundred years old and alpha, but Emelia is a free spirit and very expressive independent woman and she struggles with Drake's swoop in and take over approach. Look forward to the next in the series.
