snooping around…especially when his presence stirs feelings she thought

an army in Scotland closing in on his family. Simon is the only person who
can protect her. But when she learns his most guarded secret, will she still
want him? Can Helen love a Highland Shifter?

Review:

Hotel heiress Katelyn “Katie Morrison thought she would never have the chance at motherhood, until a baby arrives on her doorstep.  As complicated as the note is explaining that the birth mother wants Katie to have custody of baby Savannah, Katie can’t help but feel obligated to find the mother and make sure this is what she truly wants.  Becoming a new mother is hard enough but trying to hide it until she figures out what to do is another, when her one true love of her life is back and the chemistry is still there, Katie walked away once but she doesn’t know if she can do it again.

Wonderful story, Katie’s face has been splashed on tabloids for years but she is nothing like the once wild child she used to be.  When she left Dean it was complicated but she never shared the true reason why with anyone as Dean begins to get closer to Katie he begins to realize he may have been wrong about her all along.  Always a sucker for second chance stories and the door is definitely open for more books in this series.

Plot Bunnies
Guest Post Catherine Bybee

Thank you so much for having me on your blog today. I’ve been taking requests for blog tour topics from my Facebook friends.

Here is a question I get all the time.

The question is about my plot bunnies, which I’ll combine with the question about my method of writing.

I think the number one plot bunny for me has to be spontaneous titles that jump in my head. I have this crazy ability, my author superpower, to go from title to concept in a matter of minutes. In fact, if I don’t have a title in mind for a book while I’m writing, I tend to flounder longer than I’d like. Once the title is solidified in my head things simply run along the writing track.

There are plenty of other plot bunnies out there. I’ll read an article in a paper, see a snippet of a story on the news…or I’ll hear about someone’s real life and think that I’d like to take that background and make it into a HEA. I’m a firm believer that life is much more entertaining than fiction. And after working for years as an ER RN I can honestly say that I can’t make up the shit that comes in the back door of a hospital and make people believe it.

Now, onto methods of writing. In my mind, there are exactly two methods. Pantser and Plotter. I’m a pantser! I write by the seat of my pants with vague outlines of what my characters are about. I learn my characters and my story as I write it. I love writing series books because by the time I’m on book three I already know several characters and usually only have to discover a few more along the road.

As my editors know, writing with a complete plot for me is a struggle. I can do it, but I don’t do it as well as some of my colleagues. Those who can write a synopsis before they put their fingers on the keyboard and write are much more gifted than I am.

So, there you have it…Bybee’s methods and plot bunnies.

Happy Reading

Catherine

Waitress and single mom Jessica “Jessie” Mann is practical to a fault.
Even if she had time to date, which she doesn’t, she’d be determined
to provide her son with a more secure upbringing than the one she
had—and that would mean a husband with big bucks. When Jack
Morrison—a sexy-as-sin, seemingly broke customer with a cowboy hat
and a seductive grin—tries to flirt with her, she shoots him down. She
doubts a carefree dreamer like Jack can provide the financial stability
she needs. Yet with Christmas just weeks away, and Jessie not wanting
to spend it alone, the charming Texan is proving hard to resist.

As the heir to the Morrison luxury hotel empire, Jack is used to being
fawned over. But Jack needs someone who will fall in love with him—
not his wealth. He’s set his sights on Jessie, though her hardened heart
just might get in the way…To be sure, he conceals his true identity and
offers to help Jessie find the rich husband she seeks. But Jack’s daring
charade may rob him of the holiday wish he wants most of all…
