Wicked Game by Mercy Celeste
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
From their first day in kindergarten Cass Pendleton and Jaime Dalton have been enemies, each other always trying to best one another in some form. So imagine Cass Pendleton's surprise when she is interviewing for a job as a personal assistant for Jaime Dalton. Jaime is a Quarterback for the NFL with his eye on a Super Bowl ring, with his career on the up rise he doesn't have time for all the minute details. His idea of hiring Cass is perfect, it will be amusing and he will be able to drive her nuts in the process.
Questioning why he hired the mouthy Cass who has zero issues with not doing what she is told has Jaime wondering if it was the smartest choice to hire his childhood enemy, however every time he considers letting her go he has one hundred and one reasons not too. When sparks between the two end up in an erotic encounter, both Cass and Jaime are not labeling what is going on but they may need to if they want a future together.
Wonderful story, very funny and loved the banter between Cass and Jaime. The chemistry is off the charts and easily a new favorite of mine.
