After Midnight by Sarah Grimm

After Midnight (Midnight, #1)After Midnight by Sarah Grimm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Child prodigy and musical talent unlike no other Isabeau Montgomery stopped playing the day her mother died. Isabeau's life changed from that moment and the music inside died. When Black Phoenix lead singer Noah Clark sees her in the bar she owns, he is intrigued by her unique beauty as well as the haunted look in her eyes.

Everything about Noah has Isabeau tense, something about him has the music hidden inside her wanting to break out. Noah wants to find out what is behind the hardened layers she so desperately tries to erect, but for every step forward there is a step back, especially when someone is intent on hurting her.

I decided to reread this one because I did not have much of a review. This is a beautiful story, it weaves it's way through Noah and Isabeau's life like intricate melody. Can't wait to read more in this series.
