The Proposition by Katie Ashley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Emma Harrison is devastated when her best friend pulls out from his agreement to donate the sperm for her to conceive. Overhearing her argument, Aidan Fitzgerald intervenes and offers to be a shoulder she can cry on, but Emma is skeptical by his motivations since she turned him down at a Christmas party and his prowess with women is well known.
Aidan offers to be her sperm donor but his offer comes with a condition, he wants the baby to be conceived naturally and that means having Emma in bed with him to do it. As they begin their quest for fertilization they develop a friendship that begins to develop into something more, but Aidan has a way of sabotaging things that are important to him and Emma is quickly becoming important.
First my rant...serials drive me nuts, I want the ending and hate waiting for the next one. Now the good stuff...engaging story, I loved that Aidan was off kilter with Emma he didn't know what to do with her. She is unlike any woman he has been with, you can see him running scared from the prospect of how important she is beginning to mean to him.
