Jane's Gift by Karen Erickson

Jane's GiftJane's Gift by Karen Erickson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two years after almost losing her life in a fire, widower Jane Clark has moved back home to Lone Pine Lake to start over with her three children in tow. Wanting to ease the fear of fire for her children, and well herself, her brother arranges for them to meet Captain Christian Nelson at the firehouse to learn about fire safety. She had not expected to find herself attracted to the town playboy, nor that his feelings maybe returned.

Christian usually avoids women with children, but everything about Jane puts him at ease and he can’t get her out of his mind. Knowing she is reluctant to venture into a new relationship, and he certainly is hesitant about commitment Christian sets out to take it slow with Jane, but life has a way of throwing curve balls and they will need to trust in each other if they are going to make it.
