Hustler Ruby Elliot has met her match with Homicide cop Troy Bennett. Growing up in a life that was less than ideal, looking for the next mark with her talent at the pool table. Ruby thought Troy would be a way to get a free drink, but the tables are turned when Troy takes her back to his apartment. A brazen moment, leads to an electrifying one night stand, or so she thought.
Troy is not quite willing to let Ruby go, he wants to explore the chemistry. When Troy finds out that Ruby is closer to the case he is working on, he needs to decide if she is worth the risk.
I enjoyed this one, not as good as the first one as Ruby is a bit more jaded. I can't wait to read the next one.
