Knowing it will never happen, he reluctantly agrees to his sisters matchmaking, wanting to settle down and start his own family. However, he can’t keep his mind off Kendall and when he steps in to help as a handyman in her bakery, the chemistry is as sweet as apple pie ala mode when they are together. Fragile and new, they begin a relationship but Kendall isn’t sure she can put her heart out there again, for Brad is a cop and she already lost one man in the line of duty before.

If you read Georgie On His Mind, she is back helping her friend Kendall and her brother Brad. Delightful story, I loved the pacing between Kendall and Brad, it was not sudden it took time to sort out and was a sweet treat once they came together. Big fan of Jennifer Shirk’s work, this is just another example of her creativity and ability to create intriguing characters. High praise.

Although Samantha Callen likes all things girly, she has shed the traces of that demeanor trying to prove she is as good as any man rancher. When she interrupts rustlers stealing from her ranch, she inadvertently gets shot and is found by the side of the road by Wade and Heath Watson.

Wade and Heath made a declaration once to Samantha, they planned on making her their wife, and she has been running ever since. Now that she has been hurt, Wade and Heath step in to help and it is not quite what Samantha expected.

Very fun, Samantha is determined that having a man or men in her life will put her need aside and it will be controlling. Wade and Heath, don't see a relationship like that and plan to correct every assumption that Samantha has. I liked that the men were so understanding and didn't overwhelm Samantha, instead they listened and allowed her the space she needed. Excellent first book in the series.

However she gets lost in the woods and finds herself face to face with a wolf instead.

Cale knows he has just met his mate, he quickly transforms and sets about charming her. Although Cale is trying to properly woo her, but every touch is calling to his wolf and the instinct to mate is riding him hard.

I liked this one, but it is so rushed that I wish there had been a bit more. Fun read.

Two years later, Grace is coming home for a surprise visit. With only one day into her visit, everything becomes unhinged. She finds herself in the middle of an investigation that stems back to her sister's murder and a serial killer who has set Grace as his ultimate target.

Sandman Sandstone is the person you call when you have exhausted every lead. Sandman needs to find the connection from the killer to Grace, but in all of his years of doing the job he has never felt the protective drive kick in like it has with meeting Grace. After a few close calls, Sandman calls in his brothers Big Jay and Duke to help with the investigation as well as protecting Grace. Grace though is determined to help and has a spirit of their own that the Sandstone brothers are trying to adapt to and hope they have the time to figure out as long as they keep her out of the path of the killer.

I thought this was an excellent read, a lot grittier than Dixie Lynn Dwyer's other books. I did have a couple issues with Sandman and Big Jay's name, it was just not connecting in the intimate moment, it was so minor though it did not take away from the story though.

When David and Eric Rivers overhear the plot to murder an innocent they quickly find her and bring her into their protection. David and Eric realize they have both found their mate but how do you explain that you are shifters to a woman who has had her whole life turned upside down. When it seems the father is intent on seeing her dead, her men will do whatever they can to protect her.

I was a bit disappointed, there are so many characters introduced my mind was swimming. I liked the parts with Laynee, David and Eric but found Laynee to be a bit of a contradiction as she on one hand is uncertain about trusting and on the other just hands it completely over to men she met in the woods. It was a bit over complicated for me would probably try another in the series though.

Mano, Gideon, Chordeo, Chance and Eric Dolberg lost their mate ten years ago, they thought they would live a life of empty existence never finding the one who would own them body and soul. Doing detail at another event, they are ready to go until they cast eyes on Kamea and know instantly she is their mate. However, vampire Julius has an interest in her as well. Kamea doesn't agree to be mated, but feeling the pull and the danger surrounding her she finds she has to lean on all of her men as she is the key to the future of all Weres.

Interesting, it was a bit slow in the beginning. I would have liked more of Julius he was a total bad boy and was left out quite a bit in the story, but the moments he was in were delicious. Overall it was an entertaining addition in the series and setup for more books to follow.

Everything seems to be swirling around her, drifter Chance Anderson has finally been able to get Cindy to agree to a date after five years of pursuit. Josh Granger puts his well known moves on her right away and although Cindy turns him down, she can't stop thinking about him. The only person who seems to remember her from town Matthew Garner is at a crossroads in his life, but the one thing he knows he wants is not letting Cindy leave his life again.


Although I liked the story, it was paced so fast I wish it had been longer.I liked all the characters and felt for Cindy, she is definitely carrying residual issues from being teased in the past. Out of all the characters, I liked Chance the best he was sweet and yet had a definite bad boy streak to him.

Alpha to no one and wolf-shifter Jack, doesn't want to be bothered. Mandy ends up on his doorstep not once, but twice of course when he realizes it's her scent that is bothering him and he has found his mate, he will do everything he can to protect her. Especially when another hunter has come to take him out.

3.75 there was a lot I enjoyed about this one but I found I had a ton of questions. I think this could turn out to be a good series, but wanted a bit more from Jack in the aspect of getting Mandy to understand what was happening. It is explained but in a very rapid way. Good chemistry though and a few twists for a paranormal story.

His brothers Gray and Pierson feel like Evana could be the one they have been waiting for.

From the beginning they are honest about who they are, who they plan to be and they take their time waiting for Evana to come to terms with how she feels about the Badon brothers. However, someone fro her past is determined to have her and the insecurities of a lifetime of hurt give Evana pause on whether she can trust the Badon brothers, even though her heart already has the answer.

I liked this one quite a bit, Evana is an unusual heroine and the Badon brothers like her for who she is. Quin is the dominant of the brothers, definitely has a temper and the chemistry between all four shines through.

Ford can't believe what a beauty Isabel has become, now that he lives in the apartment over the house she is living in they seem to find an easy banter and Ford has no problem teasing her over the contents of the letters she had sent him. Ford needs Isabel's help though, his mother's relentless matchmaking has him running from his mama, but if Isabel will pretend to be his girlfriend than he can go back to living life comfortably. Of course a few kisses and the challenge of proving to Isabel that sex is not boring, Ford finds himself thoroughly enjoying his pretend relationship. When Isabel realizes her heart has become involved though she knows she could lose Ford for good, for Ford is not a long term commitment type of guy.

After another attempt by her step-brother to get Delilah Devero into his arms, she ran. Awakening in a hospital in Temptation, Texas though was not part of her plan. Sheriff Clay Garrett thinks the woman he helped rescue in the car accident is stunning, despite her bruises he feels torn up by the fact that he wants more from her than an interview. What he does get is a stunning woman who feels at ease in his company, that is until he realizes he has competition with rancher Hunter Boyd.

Hunter was the first one on the scene when Delilah crashed and since that moment he realized she was meant to be his. Now realizing she has feelings for Clay as well as him, he quickly comes up with a plan, join forces. Easier said than done though when Delilah's step-brother makes another attempt to kidnap her, both men are quickly at her side proving that they will do whatever they can to protect her.

Overall was a fun read, moved a bit fast and I think missed a few points that could have been explained better. Hunter was the charmer while Clay was the more serious of the two, I liked that they were not always on the same page though, made the story more interesting.

I was drawn in trying to figure out the connection with Bargain Mart, a big corporation that continues to hack prices but is there more to this chain then just a store? You meet a woman whose husband is dying and is holding a policy she never knew existed. Drake Bell is the lead in this story, although you are introduced to several other intriguing characters in the story.

Although I had not read the first book, I found this story to be quickly paced and a fast read. Action packed and well worth picking up.

Zeke knows he can look but not touch with Ember. He has seen the flinches, looks of disgust, and sympathy when others look at him, although he can't recall that from Ember, he knows she could never be with someone like him. When Ember is abused by her father who is suffering from PTSD, Zeke is the first to rally around her and her son. Ember sees this as the opportunity to show Zeke how she really feels, but Zeke has it in his mind that it cannot be real and she is deluding herself. Fortunately for Zeke, Ember is determined to have Zeke in her life.

It started off with a moderate pace, developing the relationship between Zeke and Ember. Then BAM they were in a serious relationship, a little rushed but overall good story. I thought Zeke was an interesting character, he is recovering still and has a problem with his speech but he doesn't let it stop him from living life. I would read more from this series.

They both have let her know they want her and it scares her, but she also feels like they are worthy of her trust. With Remy reentering the scene though, there is trouble brewing and the three will have to decide how best to handle it.

Batten down the hatches, you are in for a sinfully delicious treat.

First in a series. I enjoyed the story, thought Alexandra fit the bill for hot tempered red head. Grayson is a bit of a mystery because you know he is hiding something, but what? Look forward to next book in series.

Despite Seth's insistent courtship, which is more him stopping by her work and making sure she is safe, Miranda has stuck by her guns and never accepted his invitations, she can't be with a man who doesn't want to include her children in their life. After one extremely rough day, she relents with a no strings agreement, but Seth finds himself not only falling harder, but beginning to soften to her children.

I wanted to like this one, but I struggled. I had a hard time with Seth and his issue with kids, it is explained later in the story and it totally makes sense, but I had a hard time overlooking his selfish behavior.I could have just not been in the right mood for this one, would try again later.

Mason Stone knows the second Alyssa walks in to interview, she is the mate he and his brothers have been looking for. Were-hyenas mate in threes and they have been looking for the one. Convincing his brother Cairo is no problem, but Dante is a bit more hesitant in committing to Alyssa who doesn't seem interested in any of them. Alyssa though is struggling, she is attracted to all three and doesn't want to be treated like another play toy so she remains aloof instead. When a threat attacks Alyssa, the time for wooing is over and all three men plan to make their intent clear, she is their mate.

This story had so many of my favorite things going for it, shifters, fighters, full figured women, and menage. I enjoyed this story quite a bit, but also was a bit disconnected towards the end. I wanted the mating to happen and their was chemistry, but a lot of tears and there were times Alyssa came off less strong than I thought she actually was. Good story, but had a couple of hiccups for me. I would definitely continue the series though.
