Mount Up by Melissa Ecker

Mount Up (Seduction in Memory Grove, #2)Mount Up by Melissa Ecker
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Luke is a local legend Rodeo star who ends up in the ER and under the care of Dr. Natalie Shea. Natalie is not eager to be charmed by Luke who seems to be silver tongued. When a twist of fate has Natalie needing Luke's help, she finds there is a lot more to the man then his charming persona.

Luke is all male and definitely pure alpha. I liked this story, gave it a 3.5 it started off with a bit of slow seduction between Luke and Natalie. Luke seemed like he was stalking his prey but the end was very abrupt and would have liked it to be longer.

Raine on Me by Laurann Dohner

Raine on Me (Riding the Raines #2)Raine on Me by Laurann Dohner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Doing a favor for her boss, Brit shows up at a rundown trailer to check on a cowboy who injured himself in the rodeo, figuring it is another old man she is blown away by the very virile naked man in bed. River tests all of Brit's patience as he makes his attentions known that the only way he will feel better is if she is administering her skills in bed underneath him. Giving into her basic needs, it has been a long time, she imbibes in the gift he is so willingly offering only to bolt the second his back is turned.

River can't get the hellcat he had in bed out of his mind, imagine his surprise when he returns home only to find her in his other bed. River plans to get to the bottom of what Brit is running from, even if it means tying her to the bed and never letting her go.

I decided to reread because I did not have a written review on this one. Brit is running from an ex who will stop at nothing to get her back. River is pure primal alpha, he has an interesting nickname for Brit that raises a few chuckles and they way he goes about setting to claim Brit as his own is hilarious.
