Looking for the next great read.  I finished Feral Sins this weekend  by Suzanne Wright and loved it, I am looking to find the next new to me author who will rock my world.  Any suggestions?

So this weekend I read a couple of good books, they were fun and kept me entertained but lately I have been craving a really good book.  A book that you start it and than your day is shot because you can't put it down.  A few I have found over past few months is From Rags, Sweet Dreams, Darkest Sin, The Dom Who Loved Me...Any suggestions?

Monday Musings....Heroines that you envy...

I was thinking this weekend about heroines who inspire or just are kick ass heroines.  I have a few favorites. Cassie from Taking Chase, Eve from The Ugly Duckling, Lauren from Sweet Dreams, Indie from Rock Chick, Dana from A Humble Heart, Blayne from Beast Behaving Badly, and Miki from Go Fetch! all of these vary in personality but are heroines I want to reread about again and again.  Do you have a favorite heroine who you could read about over and over again?

Monday Musings...Music Inspired

I notice more and more books have songs that help set the stage for the stories. Some can be in the form of Rock Stars while other just refer to a moment and a song that sets the tempo for whats to come.  Do you have any favorites where music plays a large part in the book or where there is a moment where music has made that book unforgettable?

I have been thinking about changing it up a bit on the blog to perhaps around the world, specifically US for now.  Books that take place in different states, I know I love a book that is written here in Oregon because I can visualize a lot of it.  Any thoughts?

I am trying to remember the name of a book that I read awhile ago.  It is about a woman who gets a tattoo not realizing that it is symbolic of a mate or being in heat?  Her neighbor who she has been crushing on comes to her rescue when she finds herself targeted by several weres.  Any ideas?

Monday Musings...you your own worst enemy

Read a book last night that had me thinking about heroes/heroines who are their "you your own worst enemy." You know the books where you want to reach in and grab them to shake some common sense their way.  Sometimes I find in these stories it is too hard to get past it and the hero/heroine drains me enough that I don't enjoy the story as much.   When you find the books where they wake up early though, wow it can be magical.

Any favorites you have or books you ended up hating because of this character flaw?

He finds himself in a horrid situation that causes him to have a wake up call and begin reflecting on where he wants his life to lead. That answer comes within hours of his ghastly mistake in the form of Chloe Mason.

Chloe Mason's whole life has been a lie, spending most of her childhood in hospitals she never had the true feeling of what a family is. Finding out she has a brother, has her both fearful and full of joy not sure if he will accept her. Everything she was hoping for comes true, but she also finds an unbelievable connection to Mike. When a hurdle gets thrown in their way, she finds Mike backing off and no explanation why until Chloe ends up on the radar of the Russian Mafia.

I loved this book, it was dark and heavy but oh so good. Mike is struggling with his demons, but the second he lays eyes on Chloe it all changes. She is a ray of light to his darkness and he wants to hold on for dear life, but her brother has hesitations about Mike as he has always been a player and were talking a sister he thought was dead.

This week looking for recommendations for an author I need to try.  I like historical, contemporary, thrillers, erotica, paranormal.  Favorite authors vary from Kristen Ashley to Julia Quinn, Caris Roane to Heather Graham, along with a long list of ebook authors like Jenny Penn, Dixie Lynn Dwyer, Sophie Oak, R.L. Mathewson.  Looking for that next big find where I can latch onto a new to me author and devour some fantastic books.

What I am in the mood to read is a really good suspense story.  I want a really strong male lead in it, one who is pure alpha, dark and sexy.  I have read a few of Lora Leigh's books that the lead is intense, would like him to be gritty and maybe something hidden about him.  Any suggestions?

I am trying to find a sports story I read awhile ago.  The premise is a photographer (female) who gets her lucky break and is photographing on the field when a football player ends up tackling her.  She becomes injured and I think he takes care of her but cannot recall.  Any ideas?

Figured it out
