April: Dangerous Heroes

Continuing the spotlight on dangerous heroes for the month of April, I have chosen one of my favorites.  He has secrets, is a player, and has a way of wanting you to duct tape his mouth, but there is that special something about him that gets under your skin,

Eve of Samhain (Hanaford Park, #1)Eve of Samhain by Lisa Sanchez
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Ryann Pierce sees  Quinn Donegan enter the bar she is working at, she thinks well maybe there is one man on earth who who could charm her rather than the creeps who are constantly coming on to her on a daily basis. All it takes is for Quinn to open his mouth before Ryann realizes her fantasy is just like the rest.

Quinn has spent the last 500 years cursed for being a player, woman constantly are vying for his attention and what is so wrong with taking what is so freely given, except when it comes to Ryann who manages to give him a piece of her mind. For the first time in his life he wants someone to want him for him, not his appearance or sexuality. A strange friendship develops between Ryann and Quinn as her life is put in danger and his is about to end.

When I first started this I was not quite so sure about it, but a couple of chapters in I was hooked. There is an innocence to the story as Quinn develops unrecognizable feelings for Ryann and she is trying to understand why he does not act on it. Will definitely give the next book a try.
