Shandi Martin is a survivor, not only did she survive a cancer battle that cold easily have led to her death, but her boyfriend walked out in the middle of her batter damaging her heart along the way. Firefighters Ryley and Rafe show up at the school Shandi teaches at to do a presentation for the kids, not expecting to find their mate, but they do and the gun shy women who seems intent at keeping them at the friend level as their wolves howling loud and clear they want their mate.
I liked this one probably the best out of all three. Rafe and Ryley take the time to get to know Shandi, not a ton of time but there is an honest quality to their courtship. I thought Ryley's emotions where Shandi is concerned were realistic, he struggles but can admit he is. Excellent addition to the series.
