Torn Together by Emyn Chand Book Tour

Synopsis:

Life, love, and an unforgettable trip to India. Find out why readers call Torn Together an emotional roller coaster ride.

Why does growing up have to be so difficult?
Daly English is having a harder time than most. Her future as an artist is unclear, her relationship with her mother is damaged beyond repair, and--to top it all off--her long-term boyfriend is having an affair. When Daly befriends two unlikely individuals--first a pregnant teen, and then a light-hearted charmer from India--her cynicism begins to melt away.
Meghann provides insight into Daly's life and an endless stream of good advice, comforting Daly despite her own less fortunate position.

Kashi proves he cares too much about Daly to let her fade into the background of her own life. After a series of false starts, their quirky romance carries them to India, where Daly must win the approval of Kashi's family in order to seal their "forever."

Will these friendships be enough to turn around Daly's directionless life? Will she move past the hurt and learn to trust again? Or will her mother, once again, ruin everything she's worked so hard to achieve?
Torn Together, Emlyn Chand's first sojourn into Literary New Adult Fiction, weaves a tale of friendship, dreams, and a lingering loss, while illustrating how our similarities often drive us apart.

Review:

Daly English walks in to find her boyfriend with another woman, only to leave distraught and have to deal with her estranged and difficult relationship with her mother.  Daly doesn’t let anyone close, she pours her soul into her art rather than let anyone inside shouldering her emotions in a time of need.

Daly’s life begins to unravel into something different, her mother takes on a pregnant teenager teaching her the most important lessons she can offer but Daly isn’t convinced of the new woman she is seeing, only of the one she has in the past.  Her mother wants her to befriend young Meghann, but Daly is torn between actually liking her and wishing her mother would treat her the same way.

Daly meets an enigmatic boy, Akash Malhorta “Kashi”,who she feels instantly comfortable with.  Kashi believes in fate and has no plans to force it, if they are meant to see each other again, they will.  Daly’s life takes an unusual turn with Kashi and for the first time in a long time she begins to trust again.
Fascinating story, it is rich full of compassion for Daly. This story takes you on Daly’s journey which is heartfelt and  inspiration to readers.
