Zakk, Prince of Zantar has been attacked by the Witch Queen, killing his family and transforming him into a vulnerable situation. When he hears Kiera Matthews he is hoping she will help get him out of his current mess, but first they have to figure out how to stop the Witch Queen.
Kiera is young, talented, and being raised by her Uncle after her parents abandonment. She doesn’t need the complication of Zakk right now, but feels like there is something about him that is familiar and cannot stop from helping him. Blend in a mixture of friends whose lives are in danger and Kiera’s life is about to take a drastic tour.
Entertaining story, the first in the Kiera’s Quest series. I thought it was highly imaginative what happened to Zakk, had me chuckling a bit. Short story but filled with adventure. Look forward to the next in the series.
