White Trash Beautiful by Teresa Mummert
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Life for Cass Daniels has been a series of bad events, her mother an alcoholic/junkie never cared with the revolving door of men in her life, her trailer she lives in with her mother and boyfriend is falling apart, and no matter how had she tries to get ahead it is fruitless. Her boyfriend who meant the world to her when they met, slowly let his path take turn dark and violent, not hesitating to hurt her in his wake. Cass has attitude and has always been treated like white trash and has zero hopes that will ever change, until Tucker White walks in the door of the diner.
There is a lot to this book that is left unsaid as not to spoil any surprises, but it is an intense story with about Cass who is floundering in a cesspool of waste. She has given up on hope, but the few times she spends with Tucker leave her wishing for something more. You have to give it to Cass she is a conflicted heroine who is trying to make the best of a really bad situation. I can't wait for the next one.
