Hockey star Shea Adler has a reputation as a playboy who runs through women quicker than changing his socks, although he has reformed his ways his reputation proceeds him making it hard for others to see past it. When he meets photographer Elli Fisher his emotions overwhelm him, the woman before him is unlike any he has dated and her eyes mesmerize him instantly. Shea knows within minutes in Elli's presence he wants to see her again, but the shy Elli has him befuddled on how to get close.

Elli has not dated in six years, her ex had done a number on her both physically and emotionally. Having struggled with her weight and years of harsh teasing by her family, Elli can't understand what Shea sees in her even though their time together has her happier than she has been in forever.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, Elli has major self esteem issues and Shea is with her every step of the way. I did find Elli sometimes would get irrational but I think it stems back to her fears of acceptance. Really good read.

Judging A Book By It's Cover Challenge (#9)

udging A Book by It's Cover, is a weekly challenge that will be held every Wednesday, but you can complete at your own pace. 

The gist of it I will go to my To Be Read on Goodreads and pick a book solely on it's cover. You can pick from books at home, shelfari, amazon, goodreads, etc. 

At one point I read the synopsis so feel confident of the books in my TBR are ones I would enjoy, however for some reason I have not picked it up since adding it.

I will post the cover of the book with my initial thoughts on what I think it will be without rereading the synopsis. Once I have finished the book, I will write the review and compare review to cover. I think this is an interesting type of challenge and could be a lot of fun. Plus it gives me a chance to tackle books that either caught my eye or the cover has turned me off and I have not given a chance.

Initial Thoughts:  Looks to me like a runaway bride story.  The title is fun and I like the b/w photography. Looks contemporary but the Knight thing has me thrown off as I would this would normally be a word associated to historical titles.

Theme Day: Mistaken Identities

Not wanting to waste the chemistry between them, Liam decides the best way to handle the situation is to seduce her, which he promptly does and they have a mind blowing night that Liam hopes will continue for a few more days, but when he wakes up with an empty bed and a tip, he realizes he left out that he was not a gigolo. Three months later and Liam has still not been able to forget the woman who rocked his world, imagine his surprise when he meets her at his new consulting job, sparks are about to fly.

Loved it, funny and warm all wrapped into one.
