Fracture:

4.5 Stars
Ben Burton arrives
with his father Senator Phillip Burton to learn more about the country of Una
and hopefully bridge a gap of trust between the two countries. Astra is assigned to Ben and his father,
while the women all see to share the same distant demeanor, something intrigues
Ben about Astra, perhaps it is the secrets she has kept closely guarded.
Astra Uel Ne Toban is a survivor, she has done everything
she can to adhere to the customs of the Una, even though she is not one of
them. When a threat is a apparent,
everything Astra has fought for will vanish and a new path in her life will
begin. As she has a new ally in Kai by
her side, the changes in her life are
rapid and unexpected.
This story had a lot of layers to it, I thought Fracture had a way of taking the reader and placing
them inside the story with it’s visual descriptions. Although this is outside of my comfortable
genres, I found myself drawn in right away and thought it was an excellent
story. Look forward to reading the next
in the series.
Author bio:
Hi everyone!
My name is Dee Dee, I’m twenty six and I live in a beautiful
part of Devon, England with my family. I have a younger sister, Amy who is a
brilliant guitar player, 2 springer pups (Jessie and Sparky) 4 sheep (Jack,
Phillip, Emily and Josephine) some chickens, ducks, geese, pheasants, a cat
(that adopted us when we moved in!!!) and some Koi.
Broken City is actually my second novel. My first, as my
Aunt so delicately put it, was crazy but in my defence I was only sixteen at
the time. On the plus side I learnt a lot (or so I hope) and two years later
‘Broken City’ was finished. Due to the support I have received from everyone I
am almost finished the next book in the Broken City series!
‘The Promise’ is the first book in my second series,
The Lady Quill Chronicles and is set in Saxon England, and I have just released
my third book 'Fracture', first book in The Chronicles Of Discord, which is set
in the distant future.
I really hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy
writing them.
Apart from writing, I also love reading and have a kindle: I
read almost anything with adventure and romance in it! I also like to cook and
wear impractical high heels!!! And as you might have noticed I have a horrible
addiction to exclamation marks!!!
