Lacy Taylor just can’t seem to catch a break, with the FBI at her door looking for her idiot father, it is just one more knock against her. Having a crush on her boss and nemesis Chase McDermott doesn’t help either, but at least it is eye candy for a temporary fix.
Everything about Lacy is all wrong for Chase, but he can’t help wanting to tease the beautiful woman who does her best to avoid him. When another blow is thrown for Lacy, she unexpectedly finds herself seeking Chase out. One moment leads to a brief affair but Chase isn’t sure he is ready to let Lacy go. Lacy doesn’t want her heart and trampled on and with Chase, he is not a commitment type of guy, but perhaps there is more to Chase then she is aware of and he is worthy of her trust.
