Dark Vengeance by R.T. Wolfe Book Spotlight

Dark Vengeance
Black Creek Series, Book 3

Detective Nickie Savage is pursuing a paroled arsonist who's at it again. Worse, she's plagued by the most recent victim's nephew, Duncan Reed, the person she distrusts the most.
Duncan won't stop until the deadly arsonist targeting his Aunt is back behind bars. But the smart and sassy Nickie Savage is in his way and getting far too close to a 30-year-old secret he's fought to protect.
When the arsonist strikes again with perfectly timed twin explosions, Duncan and Nickie must re-think everything they once believed about the arsonist and each other.

Review
Duncan Reed gets called back home after finding out the only woman he trusts has been hurt. Things go from bad to worse quickly after an old enemy creates havoc on his family.  Detective Nickie Reed is on the case and causing a stir where Duncan is concerned, the normally reclusive artist is finding it hard to hold onto a secret he doesn't want revealed.

fabulous finish for a fantastic series.  I liked Nickie a lot and look forward to the new series she will be in, she is a tough cookie.  I have been anxiously waiting Duncan's story and was not disappointed, you also got to catch up with familiar favorites as well.  If you have not picked up series, I highly suggest you do.

BLURB:

Andy Reed is a fast-talking, high-flying building developer and has been in love exactly one time in his life. Dr. Rosemarie Piper has not only been his best friend since childhood, she is the most highly respected upcoming conservation biologist in the northeast who can, also, hold her own in a bar fight. Rose learned her love for conservation from her mother. She learned her love for Andy through a lifetime of memories and connections. What she had never learned was she was the product of a brutal assault by a serial rapist and extortionist. Rose’s mother worked for twenty-six years to keep Rose’s identity hidden. Now, Andy vows to keep their polar differences from ripping them apart while keeping her safe and catching a killer.

Black Creek Burning
Black Creek Series, Book 1
Black Creek Burning is the first in the romantic suspense Black Creek Trilogy. Set in upstate New York, it’s a story about taking chances with your heart… and about family, trust and passion. Witnessing the murder of her parents was a brutal day for Brie Chapman. Learning her parents died in her place was almost unbearable. It took her years to overcome and move on as no suspects were found. Unknowingly, she ignites the dormant killer into coming back to finish the job. Nathan Reed moves in behind her with his two adorable nephews he’s raising as his own. He hadn't planned on falling in love and solving a murder. Patiently, he transforms Brie from an icy self-proclaimed independent into a woman willing to accept not only the help of a strong man, but the love of a family

    1. Dear Karen,
Book 3, Dark Vengeance, is the final book in the Black Creek Series. However, a splinter series featuring the heroine from Dark Vengeance will come out this December. I am writing a novella right now bridging the two together. So dang fun. Thank you for asking.

    1. Lily,
Thank you for stopping by. Andy and Rose are very sweet. If anyone should be together, it should be the two of them. The world, however, disagrees.

    1. Andra,
Flying in Shadows starts when the main characters are 10 and 11. The vast majority of the book is when they are adults. It's a friends-turn-lovers story. Very sweet.

    1. Sarah,
I hope you enjoy it. I used to laugh when JK Rowling would say how she cried while writing certain parts of the Harry Potter series. Since this book made me cry every time I edited it, I don't make fun of JK anymore. :)
