Undressed by Avery Aster Review Tour

UNDRESSED

BLURB:
Book 1 in The Manhattanites series. (78,000 words, M/F, HEA, Erotic Romance, Contemporary)
Milan’s notorious playboy, Prince Tittoni, seems to have everything—Lamborghinis, exotic women, palaces throughout Europe and business success. Ramping up his fabric company to go global with a new apparel brand, he ruthlessly stops supplying fabrics to the American client who inspired the collection. But once they meet, what’s he willing to give to get her in his bed?
Upper East Side designer Lex Easton has already endured her fair share of hard knocks. She’ll be damned if she’ll let an Italian stud muffin knock her down. So what if she named her favorite vibrator after him? With Fashion Week approaching, she’ll do whatever it takes to secure the fabrics she needs to make her clothing line an international success—even sleep with her rival.
Lex’s Louboutins are dug in deep to win this war. All’s fair in love and fashion!
Inside Scoop: Though the hero and heroine remain monogamous, their Prada-wearing friends indulge in a ménage a trois and other fashionable sexual fun and games.

Excerpt:

She gasped. He’d lost his mind. Lunacy swirled rampant around them today. “No way! I don’t need to ration a sellout to your subdivision for more than a second. I can tell you right now, the answer is no.” Hell to the no.

“Your quick ‘no’ is because I refused to say ‘yes’ to sex. They say men think with their dicks. I hope you do not run Easton with your—”

Shut it!” I’m gonna punch you. Lex inhaled and fisted her hands. She reflected on what Taddy or Vive might say right now. She’d give him an earful sampled by second bestie “Viveca Farnworth” sarcasm style. Massimo deserved it. “You could have fucked me ’til your uncut, overexposed on the blogs, ‘too ginormous for my snatch’ pecker fell off. And I’d still no way never ever in a thousand years sell, loan, sample you my Easton. And to answer your question, I run my company with my pussy, and twenty-four other pussy-sporting employees. Easton girls do not allow dickheads or cocks in our fashion world. Period.” She recrossed her arms and quirked her jaw up to illustrate physical defiance coordinating with her ruthless words.

Massimo’s face remained impervious. She heard him jingle loose change in his pocket. He coughed, cleared his throat and said, “An acquisition is the solution viable for us both. Girasoli will acquire Easton. You will work for Girasoli and receive full benefits, health care, retirement, an expense account, you name it. Girasoli will give your entire team plenty of vacation time—whatever you want.”

“Come again?” Hell to the maaaybe.

“Today, watching what you did with the designs confermato my interest. Girasoli needs you. And Easton needs Girasoli. It is best for everyone. Think it over.”

“There is nothing to think over.” She bluffed. A regular paycheck with benefits versus her unstable startup and lack of cash, which flowed out, never in, made her pussy cream more than thinking about Massimo’s fat dick.

“When you are ready, I will have my attorneys draw up the paperwork, assuming you agree on the price. Would you care to know the prezzo I’m offering for Easton?”

“No, I would not. Easton is priceless. There isn’t enough money in the world for my baby.” Easton was her child. An all consuming, demanding, fulltime, pain in her ass child, but she loved her two-year-old Easton regardless.

“Girasoli will wage five times Easton’s annual gross,” Massimo enticed without hesitation.

“Last year’s gross? Or this year’s projected revenue?”

“This year,” he affirmed.

She did the calculations in her head and rounded up to the nearest million. “Three hundred flippin’ mil.” Hell to the Yaaah

Review
4 stars
Playboy Prince  Massimo Tittoni has everything he could possibly want in life, money, cars, and women.  Designer Lex Easton has worked hard for everything she has and when Massimo stops an order of fabrics she needs to complete her collection, she won’t hesitate to pull all stops to get what she wants, his fabric, even if he is the sexiest man she ever met and a few fantasies with her BOB have entertained some lonely nights.   Not only has Massimo halted the fabrics, he also plans to launch his own line that bears a similar theme to Lex’s.

Sexy, charismatic, and pure adult fun.  The chemistry is full tilt from the first chapter where the war of the roses is laid down.  I thought Massimo was the epitome of a playboy, but once Lex is introduced he can’t seem to make heads or tails of the fiery tornado who storms into his palace.   Exquisite read..

Book Description:

As the Alpha’s only daughter Shayna Andrews has always been treated like a rare gem, protected like royalty, and she’s suffocating.  Her longing to be independent has driven her to sneak out one evening after dinner. After relishing in being able to run free without an escort, she finds herself face-to-face with the enemy, miles from home, and nearly loses her life until a lone wolf comes to her aid.

Travis Hunter’s main objective is to destroy the Onyx Pack—a group of drug using, murdering rogue shifters. His seek-and-destroy plans are put on hold when he rescues a female from a brutal attack. The beautifully exotic tiger shifter, Shayna, stirs a passion he thought died with his long-lost mate.
When Shay’s first heat cycle slams into her, Travis has no choice but to submit to her needs—and his own. But there is always a price to sleeping with the Pack princess. Not only will they have to face her Pack, Shay and Travis will have to deal with a mating that is beyond a single night and could have consequences more than either of them had thought. And when Travis finds out Shay wears the enemy’s brand, things will go from bad to worse.

Warning: One alpha female who doesn't take no for an answer, a wolf with more on the line than just his heart, and a combustible attraction that's sure to cause more than one sweaty night.

Excerpt:
Travis Hunter’s blood froze in his veins at the piercing female scream that echoed through the forest. He was moving just as the sharp scent of blood tinted the crisp mountain air mixed with the rancid smell of the rogue mutants. His night vision, along with the silver glow of the full moon, allowed him to maneuver around the trees with ease. Just before reaching the rogues, he took one last leap and shifted in mid-air, his clothes dissolving in a flash, then replaced by brown fur. He landed on a human-like rogue and locked his teeth onto the male’s throat. With a jerk, Travis snapped his spinal cord at the base of his neck. Dropping the limp body, he turned in time to take the full force of a mutant as he attacked. They rolled in a tangle of limbs until slamming against a large rock.
Travis bit back the pain that rocked through his body. Fury built inside him and called the internal flame he kept contained since the night his burned his den down. Heat grew in his cells, consumed him fully until he glowed in a reddish-orange hue.
The mutant’s eyes grew round in fear with the knowledge that Travis held the power to call fire at will. Or, in this case, out of pure rage. Travis snapped his teeth and growled at the half-wolf, half-man, then slammed his paw into the creature’s chest and shoved the heat into the mutant. The fire consumed him in a flash of orange and blue flames.
Travis whirled away from the screams of the burning male and froze. Several feet away another male, this one in human form, crouched over the still body of a female.  A low growl escaped from his throat as he charged. Travis barreled into the large male. He tackled him to the ground and bit down on the male’s neck, hard enough to break through the skin and bone.
After throwing the dead male aside, Travis shifted back to his human form and went to the female. Crouching down beside her, he pressed two fingers to her throat. Relief washed some of the rage away when a weak pulse fluttered under his fingers. He scooped her up in his arms and carried her home

Review

Furious with her adopted father, Shayna Andrews storms out into the forest needing to unwind, only to find herself attacked by rogues who are after her. Travis Hunter already lost his pack to the rogues and when he sees them attacking Shayna, his retaliation is swift, protecting her at the same time.

Time is not on their side though when Shayna begins her first heat cycle causing Travis to help her through, he realizes immediately that she is his true mate and now has to convince the rare white tiger princess that they belong together. As threats increase against Shayna, Travis has to prove to Shayna's family that he is capable of being her mate.

I liked this one, it was interesting with the tiger/were romance. I liked that there is a whole story continuing to develop with rogue wolfs in the midst. Can't wait to read the next one.

Excerpt:

Letting herself out of the apartment, she locked up and turned to find her neighbor locking his door. He caught sight of her and smiled. “Good morning.” His deep baritone hummed over her senses. She appreciated the low voiced greeting.

“Good morning.” She wanted to say something more, but her brain locked up around the words. He eased his wheelchair back until nearly off the sidewalk and motioned for her to precede him. Biting her lip, she found another smile for him. “Thank you.” Her heartbeat accelerated and sweat cooled her spine. She didn’t hug the wall, but she couldn’t help widening the distance between them.

The wheels made the faintest squeaking noise after she passed, and she glanced back to see him following her down the path toward the parking lot. Maybe she should have offered to push. He wore an olive green t-shirt and a matching pair of slacks, though they were cut up the side of the large cast encasing his right leg from mid-thigh to his toes.

He—Joe, he said his name was Joe—met her gaze and gave her another easy smile. His eyes crinkled at the corners and the dimple in his cheek deepened. The sidewalk widened and she slowed to let him catch up.

“I’m sorry. I’m not the best company this morning.”

“No worries, ma’am. Little ones take a lot out of a body.” The buttery softness of his voice washed over her like a soothing balm—like the night before when he knocked on her door and introduced himself. He scared the hell out of her, but not in the same breath.

I must be tired. I have no idea what I’m feeling from one moment to the next. As if summoned by her thought, fatigue wavered through her and she stumbled. The diaper bag swung down her arm. She couldn’t catch it and hold the baby at the same time. Joe stopped the bag’s arc, and gave her a chance to catch her balance.

“May I?” He offered, still holding the bag.

May he what…? He wanted to carry the bag for her and she winced. It was heavy and he…

“I have plenty of room and then you don’t have to worry about it taking you off balance again.” The sound logic quashed her natural objections. She shifted Libby carefully and let the strap fall off her arm. Her internal alarms sounded. Giving him the bag didn’t give him some kind of power over her, but her gut tightened at the surrender of her possession.

He settled the bag against his lap and nodded encouragingly. “Just point me to your car…”

“Oh, I don’t drive. Well, I do but I’m not driving here. I’m actually just staying here for a few weeks and I’m waiting for the shuttle.” She tacked the last on with a grimace. “And apparently I’m as muddleheaded for real as I feel. Sorry. Thank you. The shuttle is scheduled to pick us up here in about…” She couldn’t look at her watch.

“Two minutes.” The captain supplied. “I’m waiting for the same shuttle.” His warm brown gaze turned studious. “Are you okay?”

Review:

Marine Captain Joe Cooper did not realize when he knocked on his new neighbors door, his life would change forever.  Recovering from injuries of his own, he is used to be alone but when he hears the soft whimpers of a baby crying and the murmurings of a woman trying to calm her baby, he wants to offer some support.

Widower Melody Carter is bone tired, her young baby is in need of surgery to fix a heart defect and she is struggling with her feelings over her abusive husbands death.  Her first reaction to Joe is ready to flee, but as she begins to get to know Joe she finds his confidence reassuring and comforting.  Both are trying to heal open wounds, but if they are willing to work on themselves first they may just have something to build on.

I thought this was completely captivating.  It made me a little teary eyed, especially where Melody is concerned.  I thought her emotions were so spot on for the situation she is in that it made the story believable.  An inspiring story filled with hope.

Book Description:

Running from a past of privilege, deceit, and danger, Travis Simms is ready to settle down. What better place to forget all he left behind than the quiet little Montana town of Lolo Hot Springs? His goal is clear — build a hotel and his own destiny without complications —until one of the town’s most troublesome women captures his attention.

Dusty Larson is hell bent on independence, helping her sister run the Triple D Ranch. She can do anything a man can, and do it better, so she certainly doesn’t need one in her life. The only problem is she seems to attract bad luck and danger...and Travis. Can he tame her wild ways and keep his bachelor status intact — or does he risk losing his heart?

Excerpt:
The voices in her head screamed for her to run but
she just couldn’t listen. Fists balled at her sides,
Dusty prepared for a fight and stalked toward the
sound, rounding the corner and tripping just as
strong hands reached out and grabbed her
shoulders.

The hands picked her up and turned her around
to press her back into steel muscles of a rock-solid
chest. One arm reached across her collarbone to
clasp her shoulder. The other wrapped around her
midsection, holding her against a warm body. The
offending hands gripped her tight and brought her
snug against the length of him. She knew without
looking who it was.

“When you walk around after dark, anything
can happen.” His warm breath tickled her neck, and
shivers raced through her. The hand lining the
length of her collarbone made its way up her
shoulder and traced the edges of her shirt collar.
“You are not safe from anything in the dark.”

With those words, Travis turned her around and
slipped his hands behind her back to pull her closer.
He bent his head and his next words tickled her lips,
“Even me.” The kiss shot like lightning through
Dusty. It shocked and excited her, stealing the
breath from her lungs. Without conscious thought
she lifted her hands and entwined them behind his
neck, pressing their bodies closer.

Travis eased Dusty back, but kept her in his
grip. “Heaven above, Angel…I’ve wanted to do that
since I first saw you at the springs.” He traced the
edges of her lips with the rough pad of his thumb.
“You are way too beautiful to be out by yourself after
dark. Anything could happen.”

“Anything could happen," Dusty rasped out.

Travis released Dusty and her knees buckled.
He caught her before she could land on the ground,
set her right once again, and gave a deep throaty
laugh.

“Anything could happen,” she said again. Dizzy
excitement hummed through her body, and all she
could hear was the deep thump of her heart.

"Classic cars, garden gnomes, and steamy romance? My kind of book!"
- Bestselling Author Kate Perry

Book Description:

Her life took a wrong turn. He's driven by success. They didn't count on crashing into love...

Rachel Bennett loved her job until the day she finds herself doubting her choices.  Now she's hunting for a new career, but starting over isn't easy.  Her plan is simple—no distractions until she finds her dream job.  She didn't plan on fate throwing her a curveball in the form of a fender bender with a sexy guy in an expensive suit.

Craig Larsen is a wealthy, successful business owner with a plan of his own: survive his current PR nightmare and stay away from his overly determined ex-girlfriend.  His need for control and personal success is turned upside down when he meets Rach, a sassy redhead who can't drive.

Soon they find themselves battling with Rach's grumpy old neighbor, toilet-papering the trees of a high school nemesis, and fighting over the last slice of pizza.  Can two very different people plus one fender bender equal a chance at forever?

Review:

Rachel Bennett is floundering, she is actively searching for a job that she will love like the last job she had.  Her quest is not going as smoothly as she had hoped, especially after she gets in a slight fender bender with an arrogantly rude tempered man.  Of course her bad luck continues when she meets Craig Larsen,   the man who she was in the accident with and it just so happens his brother is dating her best friend.  Her road definitely seems to be rocky, especially when she seems destined to fall into Craig’s path.

Craig can’t wrap his head around why he is attracted to the fireball of a red head, when she seems to intentionally be trying to get under his skin.  It wasn’t as if he didn’t have enough issues with his ex-girlfriend trying to reestablish something that is definitely not in the plan, but everything about Rachel intrigues him. Unlikely allies, Rachel and Craig find themselves teaming together in a very creative way to handle those who wrong them.

I thought this was quite funny, Rachel has a temper and seems to speak first, think later causing quite a bit of arguments between herself and Craig. I liked that Craig although questioned if she was worth the trouble, still was willing to see past her attitude.  Enjoyable humorous contemporary tale.

About the Author:

I became a writer at a young age, but my moment of enlightenment came after watching the movie You’ve Got Mail.  It was then that I realized my place in life and I happily parked my butt on romance.  My dream was to create sexy vixens, hunky, half naked heroes, and above all, romance; lots and lots of butterflies in the belly, breathless first kisses and happily-ever-afters.

So here I am pounding my tired little fingers away on a keyboard in a cluttered office with nothing but black pepper flavored sunflower seeds and Visine as my weapons for mass-romance-novel-creation. When my fingers need a break, you will find me at a table with friends, drinking a few martinis and showing off a new pair of heels. I am usually the loudest at the table and most often snorting with laughter.

Another passion of mine is cooking. Because I love everything about food—cooking it, smelling it, eating it—I always incorporate food into my writing.  I can't help it, I kind of have a one-track mind.  It’s the product of growing up with a Polish grandma who spent most of her time in the kitchen singing her face off while cooking everything with butter, and having a Filipino mother, who loves to feed me and always makes my favorite Asain dishes in abundance.  Talk about cultural diversity!

My husband is my muse, he just doesn’t know it.  Much of the humor in my books can be attributed to him, and I constantly find myself rushing to my office or the nearest scrap of paper to jot down something he’s said.  We have a good thing going—I never tell him how to restore his cars, and he never complains about my shoe obsession.  We are blessed with three beautiful kids who keep us grounded and on our toes at all times.

During the summer you will almost always find me lying out in the hot Nebraska sun at my parents' place, Tin Man Airboats, where the river is their backyard. There, I can kick back with my loud, obnoxious family around a campfire with a couple of beers.  Family is very important to me.  My sisters are my best friends and have always been my biggest cheerleaders.  I am grateful for their love and support and consider myself very lucky to have them in my life.
