August: Hot Covers

August is dedicated to books with hot covers.  You know the ones, you look at it and say oh my..and than you find that you re-look at it several times, maybe make it into a screen saver, bookmark, or whatever suits your fancy.

Ok so I think this cover is hot, the story is hot, just hot hot hot.

When the Devil pays a visit to Faith McFarland, her life takes another horrible blow, her sons life for a ring he has coveted for years. The owner of the ring is Rock Star Finn Payne who years ago made his own deal.

Finn is tired of the women who throw themselves at him like an offering, when Faith makes a blatant pass at him he knows there is something different about her, an innocence that shines through making him want to uncover what is hidden beneath.

Intense story, loved every minute of it. It has a back story with that humanizes the Devil and brings a few chuckles along the way. Would reread this one, a rare treat.

When Eve Carmichael told fellow co-worker Sean O'Callahan that she wanted to write to him when he left to serve his time as a reserve army soldier, she never expected the letters to take an erotic turn. With each letter she is seeing a different side of Sean that has her wondering why she never saw it before. With his promises of caresses and sexual fantasies she is not sure what to think about where they stand, but when he shows up in person she will have to decide if she is ready for the next step.

Most of the story takes place during the letters between the two, you get the feeling that Sean has had a crush on Eve before he left and is not certain if he is reading the signals right. I enjoyed the story, the end is wrapped up a bit too quickly for me though. Overall fun read.

Lucie feels that once he notices her, it will be love at not quite first sight but the beginning of the perfect happily ever after.

When old friend and mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews walks into her life needing her help, he decides he is moving in so she can work with him 24/7 but as part of the agreement, he has to teach her to seduce her Doctor. All is working as plan until they get to the first step in lessons and Reid finds himself wanting to be the receiver of her attention instead. As they spend more time with each other, the chemistry continues to ignites and Reid decides it's time to seduce his Lucie for himself.

New to me author, I thought this was utterly charming and spicy too. Reid is a total jock and alpha male, but the way he handles Lucie is done with such ease and insight on his perspective of how she feels it makes you want to kidnap him for yourself. Fantastic fun.
