Hitched by Erin Nicholas Blurb Blitz Tour

HITCHED
by Erin Nicholas

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
And she thought the bridesmaids dresses were her biggest problem...
Allison Ralston would rather be anywhere other than this wedding.  Even if
the wedding is hers.  Especially since the wedding is hers.
But Allie's determined to restore her family's happiness, and if tying the
knot with longtime family friend, Josh Brewster, is the way to do it, then
she'll walk down that aisle, toss that bouquet and drink that champagne.
Oh, she'll definitely drink the champagne.
There’s only one thing that could get Gavin Montgomery back to Promise Harbor.  And she’s about to say I do to another man. Now he’s back to claim what’s his—even if he has to do it in the middle of her wedding.
Allie is shocked—and okay, a little turned on—when Gavin literally sweeps her off her feet. Safe in his arms, she succumbs to fatigue, stress, and yes, the champagne, only to wake up in his bed. In Alaska.
Now that he’s put four thousand miles between Allie and all her responsibilities, Gavin’s determined to show her that they can make a life together.  If he has his way, the next wedding Allie will be planning will be theirs.
Warning: Contains a guy so in love he’s willing to break up the wedding of the season, a bride who just needs to get to, well, anywhere else, and enough hot sex to take them from New England to Alaska and back again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Excerpt:

Gavin headed for the rental car, mostly because he had no idea where else to go.  It was right in front of the church, parked crookedly at the curb, the keys still in the ignition.

Just how he’d expect someone to park who was about to break up a wedding and steal the bride.

Break up a wedding.  Steal the bride.

Hell.  What had he just done?

Had he really just carried Allie out of her own wedding?

Gavin felt a trickle of sweat slip down his back—and it wasn’t that hot out here.

Holy shit.

He’d really done it.

And looking down at the woman in his arms, he knew he would do it all over again.

It was moments like this that being a selfish bastard—as his father so eloquently put it—was a good thing.  He wasn’t going to lose any sleep over Josh Brewster and the wedding without a bride.  Maybe Josh really loved Allie.  Maybe his heart was in pieces right now. But Gavin didn’t really care.  This was about him and the fact that he was in love with her.  Josh was on his own.

Yanking the passenger door open, he nudged Allie inside and slammed the door before jogging to the driver’s side.  He slid behind the wheel, shifted into drive and pulled away from the curb, aware of Josh’s angry presence by the church’s side door.  Gavin kept his eyes on the street until they were a block away, then he glanced over at Allie.  She was watching him with those big green eyes that had made him mush for years.

 “You okay?” he asked, giving her a little smile.  She would be if she wasn’t now.  He’d make sure of it.

 “Strangely enough, I think I might be,” she said.

One corner of her mouth curled up at the corner and Gavin knew he was right to interrupt the wedding.  It wasn’t like declaring that he still loved her and wanted her back could have really waited until after the wedding.

He smiled.  “How do you feel?”

 “Like the dream I had where you came home and swept me off my feet finally came true.”

Those words were clear and they punched Gavin in the gut.  “Yeah?” he asked gruffly.

“Yeah.”

He couldn’t believe he’d been within minutes of losing her for good.  He took a deep breath.  He’d come here to tell her how he felt, to beg her not to get married.

The not-getting-married thing seemed taken care of.  For now anyway.  Now for the I-was-stupid-to-let-you-go speech.  “Allie, I…”

 “I’m starving,” she interrupted.

O-k-a-y.  “What do you want?”

 “A cheeseburger.  With bacon.”

He couldn’t help his smile.  Allie was one of those girls who could eat like crazy and never gain weight.  Then he frowned.  She’d never been this skinny though.  She hadn’t been eating any bacon cheeseburgers lately.

 “You don’t look good,” he said simply.

Her eyes widened.  “Well, thanks.”

“Seriously.  Did you sleep last night?”

 “Four hours.”  She wrinkled her nose. “Maybe three.”

 “And you haven’t eaten?”

She shook her head.  “Couldn’t.”

 “But you’ve been drinking.”  It had been clear in the church in the way she’d slightly slurred her words.

 “Definitely,” she confirmed.  “Lots.”

 “Today too?”

 “Champagne.”  She spread her arms wide.  “Happiest day of my life.”

Uh, huh.

That champagne was playing a huge part in her leaving the church with him.

Gavin shoved one hand through his hair, taking a corner too fast.  He knew that her state of mind came, at least in part, from a bottle and knew that he should be torn about that.  But he wasn’t.  He’d had to get her out of that church.  At least long enough to tell her that he was still in love with her.

 “How’s your head?” he asked.  Surely she was feeling the effects of the night before.  On the phone it had been clear she was drunk.  But he hadn’t been able to help the thump of his heart when he’d heard her voice—and the words to the song.

 “Swimmy,” she answered, wrinkling her nose again. “Is that a word?”

He shook his head with a slight smile in spite of knowing he shouldn’t find this funny.  “I don’t think so.”

 “Well, that’s how it feels,” she said.  “Like my words are swimming around and around.  Like they can’t find the way.”

 “Okay, we need to sober you up.  Then talk.”

She frowned.  “I’m really hungry.”

A cheeseburger he could do.  That was now the plan—focus on one thing at a time.

 “Can we grab my bags out of my car?” she asked. “I’ve got crackers in there.  And Twizzlers.  And a Snickers.  And lip gloss.”  She rubbed a finger over her bottom lip as if being without lip gloss and licorice was the biggest problem in her life.  She grabbed the bottom edge of her bra through her dress and wiggled it.  “I need a different bra, too.  Bernice picked this one out.”

Gavin wasn’t sure what that had to do with anything.  “Al, I can…”

She reached up and pulled her veil from her hair, then looked down at her dress, lifting the skirt with her hands. “I need a brush and some different clothes.”

Finally, he just grinned. With that list, how could he doubt she needed her bags?  And he was on board with her not needing to keep the dress on.  That was a good sign she didn’t intend to go back to her wedding any time soon.  “You bet. Where is it?”

 “It’s right by the north door of the church.  The blue Focus.”

Right.  Her car would be at the church.  Great.

Praying for a little divine intervention—that he was pretty sure he didn’t fully deserve—he took a left and headed back for St. Mark’s.

Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles

Leaving Paradise (Leaving Paradise, #1)Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Caleb Becker has served his time, as a teen bent on having fun he hit next door neighbor in drunk episode, leaving her and ultimately arrested for the hit and run. He is ready to go back home and get back into a routine, but wishing it would be easy is far from what he receives. Rumors surround him now as a criminal, everyone waiting for him to screw up and he had not expected the damage he did to Maggie Armstrong to be a constant reminder of his mistakes.

Maggie not only lost her ability to walk that day, she lost her best friend Caleb's sister. Her friends quickly fell into the woodwork as she was tied to a wheelchair and recovering. Now she walks with a limp and is teased about it, the stares, the wish to be anywhere else but Paradise is constantly hovering in her thoughts.

The last person she wants to see is Caleb, but when her job and his mix they find that both are haunted with the past and experiencing similar issues as they try to move forward. Caleb falls for Maggie, Maggie is falling for Caleb but outside influences are determined to keep them apart.

I thought this was a profound story, initially I wanted to hate Caleb for his selfishness however you change your mind. He is angry and as the story evolves you learn a lot more about that fateful night that destroyed two futures. Maggie, oh Maggie, she is a tough one and you just want to embrace her with a huge hug. I am anxiously awaiting the next book, definitely kleenix worthy.

Brooke rebounds again and sets out on a personal journey to discover what will truly make her happy. Sparks fly when she and Chase cross paths again in an unlikely way. Now, they need each other to find an abducted child and save thousands of people J.P. Hansen’s.

 Guest Post

J.P. Hansen’s Guest Post

People often ask me, “How could you—a guy—write such a great Romance novel?”
My answer, “Don’t ever underestimate a male ego after a few glasses of wine!” In all seriousness, “Pink Slips and Glass Slippers” began as a dare. Sitting around a table of friends, sipping wine—okay gulping wine—I posed the question, “If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only bring one book, which one would you choose?”
A female friend jumped on the question, answering with the title to a hugely popular Romance novel (one that I had little or no respect for. I won’t name it because it’s bad karma—and the table was nodding agreement). I knew my opinion was in the minority, but…
I retorted, “Seriously? I could write so much better than that!”
After a pause that seemed to lap eternity, someone blurted, “Okay Mr. Bliss List, then do it!” Brief background time: my first book was “The Bliss List,” an inspirational career guide where the mystical meets the practical. In addition to opening the door to some incredible media exposure: live interviews on FoxNews, Daytime TV, The L.A. Times, CNN, Fortune, etc., the book landed on several bestseller lists and garnered four awards including “International Book of the Year.” (Reader’s Digest is publishing the second edition, release date: May 16. www.blisslist.com).
Back to the dare. The next day—without wine—I wrote a stepsheet with an intriguing plot and interesting characters. Three months later, 118,000 words magically appeared in a file named “Boardroom Trysts—Pink Slips and Glass Slippers.” I say magically because time stood still while I wrote it (including the middle of many nights). Ironically, my bliss became writing this story. My day jobs include Life Coach, Professional Inspirational Speaker, and CEO of an Executive Search Firm. But this story was so fun to write, it almost wrote itself.
Then, the tough part—editing it. I was able to clip 5,000 words after several grueling re-writes. After I couldn’t see straight, I did the smartest thing I’ve ever done—
I turned it over to four separate female friends including Manuscript Consultant Sophie Powell. In addition to teaching English at Boston College (my Alma Mater), she’s also a successful author. Sophie provided brilliant insight (especially into my protagonist, Brooke Hart), but Sophie also provided great encouragement to stick with the story. Her original notes made the back cover: “I enjoyed every minute of Pink Slips and Glass Slippers and literally could not put it down—I gobbled it up with the compulsion and ease of one of my favorite beach reads, except I did not feel empty when I finished reading this novel—I felt warm inside, and inspired.”
My mission statement as an author is: “To provide inspiration to millions of people.” With three books published, I’m currently juggling six different book projects (Four fiction, two non-fiction), in addition to my other three day jobs. As long as it’s fun—and people continue to read—I will write until I draw my last breath.
My greatest challenge as an author? Writing steamy love scenes without using dirty words. No doubt about it. One astute reviewer wrote: “Steam yet Substance.” Let me know if you agree?

 Review:

Brooke Hart is trying to move but her memories of the love of her life, Tanner,  and the tragedy that followed continue to create unresolved feelings and despite her family and friends help, she knows she needs a drastic change.   Brooke accepts a job as VP at the company that has a possible cure to the disease that took Tanner.

CEO Chase Allman is always the professional, he has sacrificed more than anyone cold possibly know to keep up his reputation at the company.  The instant he meets Brooke he sees someone he wants in his life, but Brooke is an employee as well as trying to find her own inner acceptance within herself.  A betrayal, kidnapping, and the romantic background of two remarkable people set the pace for a highly  entertaining story.

I thought this was pure enjoyment. I don't think the blurb the story justice, there is a lot more that happens than you expect, keeping readers guessing until the very end.  If  your in the mood for a romance, this is the perfect book for you.

ALPHA MARKED:  SCARLET  - EXCERPT
Scarlet continued clicking down the wide, marble-tiled hallway, passing boutique after boutique of overpriced souvenirs and gifts. Nearing a store boasting high-end purses and accessories, she paused, pretending to look over the offerings. In reality, she took a peek at Mr. Gun Guy in the glass’ reflection.

He didn’t even pretend he wasn’t watching her. No, he stood eight feet back, hands behind him, and flat-out stared at her.

Well, she wasn’t about to have him follow her to dinner. She turned and faced him head on. “Is there a reason you’re following me?”

“Yes.” His voice was a low baritone, but it did nothing for her.

She waited for further explanation but didn’t get anything. “Okay, why?”

The man’s look remained bland. “Because the Ruling Alphas ordered your protection.”

She rolled her eyes. “Well, we’re back to why.”

“It was ordered.”

Scarlet huffed. “Do you know why and you’re not telling me, or are you simply a drone doing as he’s told?”

That earned her a quick twitch of his lips, and she knew he was trying to suppress a smile. “A little in between.”

“Fine. God forbid we complain about the Ruling Alphas and their high handedness. This is because my sisters and I got into it in the ballroom with Garron and Quentin, isn’t it? Keller and Madden tattled to them. It wasn’t our fault, you know.” Then again, the assholes had been tossed from the Gathering, so it made sense that the head honchos needed to be informed. “Well, if you’re gonna follow me around like a puppy,” she winked to take some of the sting out of her insult, “you might as well walk next to me.”

Scarlet gestured for the guard to approach, but the man stood still, his body frozen in indecision.

“Come on, I promise not to tell the big bad Ruling Alphas you actually talked to me while you acted as my guard. Hell, who knows when I’ll actually get to meet them. I’ll probably forget you by then.” She winced. “Not that you’re forgettable, I—” She huffed. “Just talk to me.”

“I don’t think—”

“Well, I do.”

She stomped toward him and tugged on his arm, ignoring the sting that accompanied touching a male not meant for her. Stupid Mark. Now that she’d met her mates, pain would accompany any contact she had with other men, human or wolf. At least until she completed her mating with Keller and Madden. Thankfully she wasn’t alone in the ouchy department. It was the same way for the guys.

“Yes, Alpha Mate.” The man grumbled but relented. Aw, her males had already spread the word about their connection. That had to be the reason she’d been upgraded from simply “Marked” to “Alpha Mate” by the guard. How sweet. Sweet-ish. She sorta wished they hadn’t jumped the gun, but Alphas were Alphas.

As uncomfortable as the wolf appeared, she didn’t bother trying to talk to him further. She simply felt better that he wasn’t following her and making her feel like a stalked chubby gazelle.

In less than a minute, they strode into the restaurant side by side, the maître d’ quickly leading them toward the back. Together, they wove their way through the room, sliding around various tables, and she noticed most were occupied by two men and a single woman.

Well, it looked like quite a few were already performing the Test of Proximity. Although she had a feeling the test was all for show. Much like the dinner she was about to enjoy.

Before long, she stood before her two wolves in the very back of the restaurant, and both men rose upon her approach. It was Madden’s growl that broke the sweet moment.

She needed to remember he was the more aggressive of the two, and apparently he didn’t like other men close to her.

Hoping her mother’s teachings had been correct, she stepped in front of the guard, redirecting the wolf’s attention. “Madden?”

The rolling sound cut off the moment his eyes met hers, the last of his air hissing from his lungs in a sigh. “Scarlet.”

She waved behind her. “The Ruling Alphas said I needed a guard. No need to get testy.”

Madden furrowed his brow. “Wha—”

Keller cut him off. “I’m sure they want to keep you safe.” He smiled and stepped around the table, drawing her forward with a hand on her lower back. The seductive scents of heated wood, raw power and man surrounded her, and she melted into his side. “You already know how to handle our Madden.”

She chanced a look at the wolf in question and noted his smile. “Perhaps.” She turned her attention back to Keller. “I’m not sure how to handle you, though.”

“I doubt that’ll be a problem, sweet. I’m like any other wolf. Give me something to snack on and you’ll have my attention.” She didn’t miss Keller’s not-so-subtle innuendo.

“Right,” she drawled.

Keller pulled out the chair and she sat between the two men. His heat warred with the inferno that flowed from Madden. Two sides of the same coin, so alike, yet so different.

The guard that had accompanied her took up a post in front of the table. He and four others essentially made a wall-o-wolves, cutting them off from the rest of the diners. Talk about overkill.

Hidden Depths by Aubrianna Hunter Book Tour and Review

Hidden Depths
Hidden Series - Book 1
Aubrianna Hunter

Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance
Publisher: Writer's Edge Publishing

ASIN: B00B09852A

Number of pages: 236
Word Count: 74,384

Book Description:

She is pierced, dyed and tattooed born on the wrong side of the tracks. He is a traditional white knight born of the proverbial silver spoon. Their meeting was an accident, the fact that they became even the most tentative of friends, an anomaly. The only real thing they had in common... chemistry. Lots of chemistry. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough and Gia knew it. Now, if only she could convince her body...

Josh had always walked the line, lived the life he was expected to live. He had, by all accounts, the perfect life; a corporate lawyer, a beautiful home, a family empire to run, and the perfect fiancee. He was well on his way. The only question he had... was that really where he wanted to go? Plagued by dreams, Josh fought all his natural instincts, denying not only what he truly wanted but who he was deep down inside. Until one crazy night when he gave in to his desires...

Could these two polar opposites have more in common than even they realize?

 Excerpt:

           "Just what the hell do you think you're doing, Josh?"
            "Why Georgia, I have no idea what you're talking about."
            "Oh cut the crap, lawyer boy."
            Bringing them literally nose to nose, he whispered against her lips, "That's three, baby."
            "What are you doing? Someone is going to see us. Back up."
            Josh noted that she was telling him to back up, but her lips were moving the tiniest bit closer. He         could kiss her, right here, right now. And she would let him.
            But, if anyone saw them, she would hate him, and what they had would be over before it truly began.
            With more control than he thought he possessed, he backed his head away from hers and spun her away from him, until she was facing the bar. Removing temptation, while still allowing him the feel of her body.
            "Teasing me like that, Gia, is worth two... so that makes it five."
            It took her a second to respond, letting him know she was just as affected as he was. "Five what?"
            He leaned in and smiled against her ear. "Spankings. Every time you tease, torment, or simply act bitchy, you are going to earn yourself another."
            She leaned her body back against him, almost sagging into him as gooseflesh ran down her arms. That, combined with the little shiver she gave, told him all he needed to know.
            "You really like that idea, don't you baby?"
            "Fuck you, Josh." Her words were harsh, though her tone was raspy. The desire he heard in her tone shot straight to his cock.
            Grabbing her hip with one hand, he gripped the bar with the other, half convinced he would break the damn thing with his grip. "Here and now, or did you want to wait until we get back to my house?" He used his grip to grind himself against her ass.
            He realized just how carried away they'd gotten when instead of pulling away, she leaned into him with a breathy little moan.
            "Ah, hell Gia." He pulled away from her taking a full step back before he did something colossally stupid. Taking a deep breath, he was trying to calm himself when the bartender showed back up, drinks in hand.
            Taking the beers, he asked Gia to grab Deb's martini and he turned to head back to the table. He stopped for just a second, and leaned in to say quietly, "Now we're up to seven, Gia. One for the 'fuck you' and one for the teasing. Just how badly are you going to behave the rest of the night?"
* * * *
                        She was going to kill him. A long, slow, painful death. After she sexually tormented him for hours on end first, of course.
            If she was honest, she was actually more angry with herself, or at least with her body, than he was with him. She had almost given in and kissed him at the bar.
            Kissed him... hell, she knew it wouldn't have stopped there. At that particular moment, she had forgotten where they were, who they were with. She hadn't cared. The only thing she could think about was having him slip that long, hard shaft inside her and easing the ache.
            Josh leaned over, whispering in her ear, "If you don't want me to fuck you right here at this table, you had better get that goddamn look off your face."
            "Go to hell Josh," she all but yelled at him. Everyone at the table glanced her way, but since the two of them arguing was nothing new, they merely waited for his response. When he merely smirked at her, they all went back to chatting about whatever they'd been chatting about.
            She made the mistake of looking at him and he mouthed out, "That's thirteen, baby."
            She trusted him. Completely. At least in this. She knew he would absolutely break her heart in the end, but she knew she could trust him with her body. And quite frankly, judging by the look in his eye, he may not give her a choice. She knew he was deadly serious. She was going to get spanked tonight.

Engaged Joshua Taylor is feeling like he is about to make a big mistake going through with the wedding.  Since the moment he met Gia eight years ago, they timing never seemed right nor did she express any interest in him.  Now Joshua is having erotic dreams about the women who stole his heart years ago and he is wondering if he should follow the carefully laid out plan his family has chosen for him or rebel and follow his heart.

Gia has been attracted to Josh from the second they met, but she knows they are completely opposite and would never work.  Gia is tattoos, pierced, and a free spirit while Josh is a straight laced lawyer.  What Gia does not anticipate is that there is a lot more to Josh hidden within and as a delicate relationship begins, Gia feels it is just a matter of time before he realizes they are not right for one another.

This was one of those stories that you savor.  Josh is intense, he is light hearted, and with Gia he is combustible.    What Josh doesn’t realize about Gia is she is vulnerable, he is laying it out there but she has conditions for exploring what they have that has Josh fumbling on how much to reveal about his feelings.   I would definitely reread and loved every minute of this electric story.

About the Author:
I am often asked; who is Aubrianna Hunter?  And the truth is the answer isn't a simple one. Beyond being a dedicated wife and mother, I was raised by a Marine, and married into the Navy.

Needless to say I can go toe to toe with the most sarcastic people you have met, and can dish insults and curse with the best of them.  I blurt wildly inappropriate things at precisely the moment when the room goes quiet, so much so that my co-author has nicknamed me Ted... Yes... After the bear in the movie.

Recently my husband has replaced calling me crazy with calling me "Creative", but the tone he uses to do it makes me question his sincerity.  Though honestly, crazy is probably closer to reality.  I like my hectic life, in fact I thrive in the chaos and would have it no other way.

She gasped. He’d lost his mind. Lunacy swirled rampant around them today. “No way! I don’t need to ration a sellout to your subdivision for more than a second. I can tell you right now, the answer is no.” Hell to the no.

“Your quick ‘no’ is because I refused to say ‘yes’ to sex. They say men think with their dicks. I hope you do not run Easton with your—”

Shut it!” I’m gonna punch you. Lex inhaled and fisted her hands. She reflected on what Taddy or Vive might say right now. She’d give him an earful sampled by second bestie “Viveca Farnworth” sarcasm style. Massimo deserved it. “You could have fucked me ’til your uncut, overexposed on the blogs, ‘too ginormous for my snatch’ pecker fell off. And I’d still no way never ever in a thousand years sell, loan, sample you my Easton. And to answer your question, I run my company with my pussy, and twenty-four other pussy-sporting employees. Easton girls do not allow dickheads or cocks in our fashion world. Period.” She recrossed her arms and quirked her jaw up to illustrate physical defiance coordinating with her ruthless words.

Massimo’s face remained impervious. She heard him jingle loose change in his pocket. He coughed, cleared his throat and said, “An acquisition is the solution viable for us both. Girasoli will acquire Easton. You will work for Girasoli and receive full benefits, health care, retirement, an expense account, you name it. Girasoli will give your entire team plenty of vacation time—whatever you want.”

“Come again?” Hell to the maaaybe.

“Today, watching what you did with the designs confermato my interest. Girasoli needs you. And Easton needs Girasoli. It is best for everyone. Think it over.”

“There is nothing to think over.” She bluffed. A regular paycheck with benefits versus her unstable startup and lack of cash, which flowed out, never in, made her pussy cream more than thinking about Massimo’s fat dick.

“When you are ready, I will have my attorneys draw up the paperwork, assuming you agree on the price. Would you care to know the prezzo I’m offering for Easton?”

“No, I would not. Easton is priceless. There isn’t enough money in the world for my baby.” Easton was her child. An all consuming, demanding, fulltime, pain in her ass child, but she loved her two-year-old Easton regardless.

“Girasoli will wage five times Easton’s annual gross,” Massimo enticed without hesitation.

“Last year’s gross? Or this year’s projected revenue?”

“This year,” he affirmed.

She did the calculations in her head and rounded up to the nearest million. “Three hundred flippin’ mil.” Hell to the Yaaah

Playboy Prince  Massimo Tittoni has everything he could possibly want in life, money, cars, and women.  Designer Lex Easton has worked hard for everything she has and when Massimo stops an order of fabrics she needs to complete her collection, she won’t hesitate to pull all stops to get what she wants, his fabric, even if he is the sexiest man she ever met and a few fantasies with her BOB have entertained some lonely nights.   Not only has Massimo halted the fabrics, he also plans to launch his own line that bears a similar theme to Lex’s.

Sexy, charismatic, and pure adult fun.  The chemistry is full tilt from the first chapter where the war of the roses is laid down.  I thought Massimo was the epitome of a playboy, but once Lex is introduced he can’t seem to make heads or tails of the fiery tornado who storms into his palace.   Exquisite read..
